Archery Association of India

The Archery Association of India was formed on 8th August, 1973 in Delhi with the objective to organize, encourage, promote and regulate the game of Archery in India. The AAI is an apex Non-Profit Autonomous organisation of Archery in India under Registration of Society Act 1860.

The Archery Association of India is affiliated to World Archery Federation (WA), World Archery Asia (WAA), South Asian Archery Federation and Indian Olympic Association. It is recognized as the sole National Archery Association (National Sports Federation) by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS). The Association has 33 affiliated member State/UT Archery Associations, 8 Sports Boards/Institutions/Organisations and 4 Prominent Archers of outstanding merit as the appointed Associate Members.



International Hockey Federation

World Archery is the international federation for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of archery. The organisation was founded in 1931 and is responsible for regulating and promoting archery around the world.

World Archery has five continental member associations and more than 160 national member associations that regulate, promote and develop the sport in their respective regions.

World Archery organises international events, including world championships in various disciplines, runs education and development projects, and creates content to market the sport to a global audience on television and through digital media platforms.

The federation is recognised by the International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee, International World Games Association and many other reputable organisations.
